Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking an Accountant to join its finance team in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. The position is suited to someone who is comfortable working with financial records, invoices, reconciliations, and routine accounting tasks.
The Accountant will help keep day-to-day financial information accurate and up to date. You will work with the finance team on supplier and customer accounts, payment records, bank transactions, and monthly reporting. Attention to detail is important because even small errors in financial records can affect wider business reporting.
This role would suit an accounting professional who is organized, dependable, and interested in developing their experience within a UAE-based business environment.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions.
- Prepare and process customer and supplier invoices.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist with bank and account reconciliations.
- Check financial documents for missing or incorrect information.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents.
- Assist with monthly financial reports.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices when required.
- Assist with payment documentation and expense records.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding financial information.
- Support the finance team during month-end activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience with invoices, reconciliations, and financial records.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to numerical accuracy.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Able to meet deadlines and manage routine accounting tasks.
- UAE accounting experience is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Accounting diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered.
- ACCA, CMA, or other relevant professional studies are an advantage.
