Practical CV advice
Resume Tips for UAE Jobs
A CV works best when a recruiter can quickly see the experience that fits the vacancy.
Begin with the role you want
Read the vacancy before editing your CV. Highlight the tasks you have actually performed and the tools you know. If the employer asks for customer service, inventory or scheduling experience, give a short, concrete example instead of a long list of adjectives.
Make the first page count
Put your name, a reliable contact method, a brief profile and recent work near the top. Use familiar headings such as Experience, Skills and Education. For each role, state what you did and include a result when you can support it. “Handled daily stock counts for a warehouse team” tells a reader more than “hardworking team player.”
Keep formatting calm
Choose a readable font, consistent dates and enough space between sections. Check spelling, phone numbers and email addresses. Save a PDF when the application asks for one, and name it so the employer can identify it. Avoid photos or personal details unless the employer requests them for a clear reason.
Do one final relevance check
Before sending, compare your CV with the job description again. Remove outdated details that take attention away from the role. Never invent qualifications. Then use our job search to find a suitable opening and our interview guide to plan the next step.
