How to Write a Job Application Email for UAE Employers

You have found a role that fits, your CV is ready, and the vacancy asks you to apply by email. The message does not need to tell your whole career story. It needs to help the reader identify the job, see why you are relevant and open the right attachment.
Start by checking the listing’s instructions. If it asks for a reference number, a particular file format or an answer to a question, include it. A clear email cannot make up for missing a required step.

Make the subject line useful
Use the exact job title and add your name. Include a job reference if one is provided. For example, Application: Warehouse Assistant — Ahmed Khan — Ref WA04 tells the recipient what the email concerns before they open it.
Avoid subjects such as “Need job urgently” or “Please check my CV.” They explain your situation but give the employer little help sorting applications. Do not add “Re:” unless you are replying to an existing conversation.
Give two reasons to open your CV
In the first sentence, say which role you are applying for and where you found it. Then choose one or two details from your experience that match the vacancy. Be concrete: stock counting, handling customer enquiries, preparing invoices or coordinating deliveries are easier to assess than “dynamic” or “results driven.”
If you are changing fields, explain the connection. A retail employee applying for a receptionist role could mention customer communication and appointment handling, if those are tasks they have actually done. Our CV tips can help you make the same connection in your attachment.

A short example you can adapt
Subject: Application: Warehouse Assistant — Ahmed Khan
Dear Hiring Team,
I am applying for the Warehouse Assistant position advertised on UAEJob.co. In my previous role, I helped receive deliveries, update stock records and prepare orders for dispatch.
I have attached my CV for your review. I would welcome the chance to discuss how my experience fits your team’s requirements.
Thank you for your time.
Ahmed Khan
[Phone number]
This is an illustrative example, not a claim about a real applicant. Replace every detail with your own information. If the listing names the hiring manager, use that name; otherwise, a simple “Dear Hiring Team” is enough.
Check the attachment and destination
Open the file you are about to attach. Confirm that it is the current version, that the contact details are correct and that the pages are readable. A filename such as Ahmed-Khan-Warehouse-Assistant-CV.pdf is more helpful than CV-final-new-3.pdf. Follow the employer’s requested format if it differs.
Check the recipient address against the vacancy and, where possible, the employer’s official website. Avoid sending passport scans, bank details or other sensitive documents in an initial email unless there is a verified, clearly explained need. Read our job-search safety advice if a request seems unusual.

Before you press send
- The subject names the correct role.
- The message mentions experience you can explain at an interview.
- The right CV is attached and opens correctly.
- The recipient address matches the advertised application route.
- Your phone number and email address are accurate.
Once sent, record the employer, role and date. Then continue browsing UAE job listings instead of waiting on one application. If you are invited to interview, use our interview preparation guide to get ready.
